Twin Stacks

Twin Stacks

The final photo in my new image series.

Insofar as I know, the building above is the former power building for the Elgin State Hospital, which opened in 1872 as the Northern Illinois Hospital and Asylum for the Insane. The long-exposure gives the foreground a bit of drama as the stacks stand still through time.

  • Eaves, Chris (Aug. 18, 2019). Twin Stacks [Photograph]. Elgin, Ill. Shot on a Canon 6D at 27mm, 6 sec., f16 at ISO50.
